27 Feb Founder Presenting at the 2020 International Aboveground Storage Tank Conference
Warren Brand, founder of Chicago Corrosion Group, will be presenting a case study and exhibiting at the 22nd Annual International Aboveground Storage Tank Conference & Trade Show in Orlando in Mid April.
Warren’s topic is, “Opening Pandora’s Box Only to Find Gold – Corrosion Case Study.”
The case study profiles a situation where CCG was hired to identify an optimal corrosion mitigation system (coating) for a tank that had been in service, and unopened, for 25 years. Only upon inspection (which required that the top of the 40’ diameter tank be cut off and removed) was it determined that, even after 25 years of service, the existing coating was performing sufficiently well to put the tank back into service with only minor touchups as opposed to complete coating replacement. This decision saved the client millions of dollars.
The National Institute for Storage Tank Management (NISTM) was founded in 1989 and is an organization that provides educational opportunities, resources and training seminars about the operation, regulation, and management of Underground and Aboveground storage tank systems.
