Specification Development and Review

There are three elements to an “optimal” paint or Chicago coating system installation.

Identification of optimal systems (materials), development of a site-specific, asset-specific application specification, and inspection services (either in-house, contractor-based or third-party). Most specifications are boiler-plate in nature, and do not account for the particulars of the individual asset including pre-existing conditions, environmental concerns, logistics, skill set and equipment available to contractor, and other details that are unique to the project. Further, if they are compliant with a sub-standard, non-optimal coating system, then they are simply enforcing a mediocre coating project. CCG specifications are unique in that they are designed exclusively with the owner’s best interest in mind and are more functional and practical than those being provided by coating suppliers and/or applicators.
